Carbon Steel manufacturing is bit easy in comparision to other steels and alloys like Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel and Super Alloys like Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Titanium etc. Forging Carbon Steel is also quite easy because the hrdness of this metal is very low in comparion to above said metals. In simple words maching of CS Flanges is easy as fas as tooling is concerned and that is why production of Carbon Steel flanges is much higher in comparision to stainless and other metal flanges.

 

 

Applications of Carbon Steel Flanges

Carbon Steel is a low temprature metal, In air and moisture these flanges gets redish. That is why CS Flanges cn not be used where chemical or saulty atmosphere is there. Fot example Costal area, acid plants etc. But Carbon steel flanges are being consumed much more in comarision to any other metal flang because of price fator.

Carbon Steel flanges are being used in Commercial as well as non commercial sectors like Structural applications, construction, Automobile Industry Water and Drainage applications, Oil & Gas industries etc.
